04, 05, 06 Polaris Ranger installation
instructions for HID retrofit upgrade kit.
Please note: This kit requires the use of solder less
connectors to factory loom “will not” plug into factory
harness.
• Remove factory Polaris bulbs, and replace with Vision X
HID bulbs (put a dab of silicone on outer lip of bulb after
installed)
• Mount each Vision X ballast to the left or right of the
stock upper shock mount. Please note: You will be required
to drill and bolt through plastic skirt (we also suggest a
little silicone on back of ballast, vibration dampener)
• At this time you will need to peal the protective loom
back from the Polaris loom about 4”. Cut the stock connector
and bulb off, (the 4” is incase you decide to go back to
stock bulbs).
• There is a Yellow/Brown and Green Polaris power wires; you
will “Not” use the Yellow Polaris wire for this install.
High beam not used in HID.
• At this time you will splice the Vision X Ballast to the
stock Polaris wire loom.
• Splice the:
* Yellow wire at the Vision Ballast to the Polaris Green
wire
*Black wire at the Vision X ballast to the Polaris Brown
wire
Please duplicate for both sides (passenger and driver side)
• The yellow Polaris wire is the high beam power; you won’t
have or need high beam.
Know the bulbs are in, and the Ballasts are wired to the
Polaris loom, lower hood about half way closed and plug the
bulbs into the ballasts.
“Note” In order to open hood completely, you will have to
disconnect bulbs every time. If you activate “High Beams”
the lights will shut off. |
