Polaris RZR installation instructions

Installing the new HID bulb:

  • Remove the factory bulbs from headlight housing by twisting Ό turn and pulling outward, unplug bulb from wire harness and store for possible future use. Install new Vision “X” HID bulb being careful not to touch the glass part of the bulb, if you do please wipe clean with an alcohol solution.

Installing the new Vision “X” HID Starter Ballasts:

  • Remove front truck area hood, place one starter ballast (with connectors facing upwards) in each lower corner of the trunk space area (don’t not use mounting 3M tape yet). Drill a 7/8” hole through plastic truck area in the upper left and right hand side of inner trunk area so both the power and output wire can fit through.

Wiring up the lights and ballast:

  • Feed the 2 power and ground wires through trunk opening one at a time, and plug into bulb at the back of headlight housing. Take the supplied 10” wire harness and plug one end into the factory wire harness (for power) and feed the other end through the 7/8” hole and plug into the Vision X HID Ballast. After the power wire and bulb are connected start the RZR and make sure they light up.

Mounting the Ballast:

  • Remove the protective paper from both sides of the 3M pad and stick to the bottom of the ballast and place in the trunk area (make sure the area is clean). Use the supplied zip ties to tie up any extra length that might interfere with any moving parts. The trunk area is not sealed from the factory but if you choose you can seal up the 7/8” opening with silicone, the weathers will not affect our Vision X parts.
